Angel Mendez is a Chicano (Mexican-American) musician based in Los Angeles, California. He began his musical journey at the age 12, after his older brother introduced him to the guitar.

Angel is not only a multi-genre performer, he is also a dedicated teacher who has graduated with his B.A. in Music Education from the Herb Alpert School of Music at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Today, he serves his community in the Macarthur Park area by supporting the Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles (YOLA) with the everyday needs that young musicians have to thrive in their craft.
