Lena Tufenkjian
Cosmopolitan is truly descriptive of Lena Tufenkjian’s life. She grew up in Europe, began studying piano at the age of five—displaying rare talent—subsequently attending several French music conservatories in Paris, France.
After graduating with a French and Music Baccalaureate, Lena moved with her family to the U.S. She attended California State University, Northridge and completed her Bachelors Degree Cum Laude in Music Composition.
Her music awards include: the John Lennon Songwriting Contest and the Forum Music Festival (Gold and Silver recipient). Finding that she loves performing and sharing the joy of music education with kids, she then established her own studio teaching piano, voice and guitar: www.dreammusicstudios.com
Previously Lena was the Music Career Coach at Musicians Institute in Hollywood: https://www.mi.edu/. Her broad music knowledge, multilingual abilities (French, Armenian, English), deep compassion and international background served her well at this globally-’centric institution.
And, oh yes! Composing in several music genres continues to be a priority for Lena. She is currently working on an album of original works and…an original musical.
